How to find a cheap holiday

My wife and I want a cheap beach holiday around the end of June. Anyone know what's the best method for tracking down the cheapest deals (online or otherwise).
Thanks

Teletext can be useful but look for named accomodation and google it to get more info on it. I've noticed the usual high street names have a few decent looking window offers, again google the accomodation for a 2nd opinion. Used travelrepublic.co.uk last year for ours and would have no problem using them again. With euroland getting pricey now due to poor exchange rates then all-inclusives could be well worth the money.

    Book all elements yourself.

Go to holidaylettings.co.uk and find somewhere you fancy.

Then go to one of the cheap airlines (Ryanair etc.) and match the flights.

Seriously best way of getting there cheapest.

You should also have a look at https://www.sunshine.co.uk, went with them in October last year, got a great deal. Also look at https://www.jet2.com and look at their package holidays

  • Portstewart strand can be pretty cheap and not subject to currency fluctuations. Well you didn't mention where you wanted your beach holiday to be!
  • If you book a package I think you are covered by ABTA if the company goes bust. The same doesn't apply if you book flights and accommodation separately.

That being said I flew with Aer Lingus out of Belfast last week to Paris and it was such a pleasure compared to Easyjet, Ryanair and Jet2. No long queues and jostling for seats. Unfortunately they don't have too many beach destination (Malaga and Lanzarote from memory).

I also got an excellent deal on accommodation through Exepdia. I always check the accommodation reviews on tripadvisor.com and it was spot on this time round.

  • i like travelrepublic.co.uk it uses the no frills flights as a base for the holiday. and for flights skyscanner.co.uk is good.

  • Ive found the best way is to get a few holiday company numbers from teletext.
Phone them with a definite criteria , such as
    Direct flights from Belfast
All inclusive (a great option with sterling being weak)
    Air conditioned room
    Dates that suit you
You suggest a few locations, canary islands etc
Let Them the proffesionals do the work for you!
They will give you three destinations/quotations & references for each
you then check reviews for each on line & if none suit they will give you another three!
I use Hello holidays like this all the time! It works well
I got a week all inclusive in Salou in May for £129
Transfers arent usualy included so allow for these
  • Great advice from bonjovi99.

Im off to try it out this afternoon!

    Thanks,

  • I found travel Republic very good and they do price match too plus they are ABTA protected too.

I booked tickets thro Ryan air too as cheap and cheerful!
