So I've arranged a DMP with PayPlan thanks to your advice on here. Thank you so much for that guys and girls!
I'm awaiting the paperwork to come in the post but can i start telling the people that are chasing me for money to contact PayPlan insted?
I know some of you are or have been with PayPlan before, do any of you know how long it takes before they can reach an agreement with my creditors who are Barclays and Egg? How successful are they at agreeing payments with these companies?
A word of advice from me is never get involved with Barclays as it is them who have put me in this difficult position with all their interest charges and dyning agreeing to give me a holiday from my loan!

Barclays sound awful Angel.
I was about to put some business their way, but don't want to if they're going to be putting me in a difficult position too.
Why won't they give you a holiday from your loan either? You're entitled to it aren't you?

supposely they don't do holidays from their loans! even though when i rang up the first time and spoke to one of their customer advisors he told me they did and it wouldn't be a problem! But a month down the line i find out that they have taken the money any way and then what really topped it off dyning they even give holidays on their loans!!
Stay well away from Barclays believe me!!

Welcome to the thread angel and good to see you are on the way up!!
I don't think it is an automatic right for each and every loan to have a holiday period attached to it! I must say I have banked with Barclays for nearly 30 years and have never had a problem with them. I think you really need to do a bit of research first and not be put off by one person's comments (sorry angel - hope you don't take offence), but most probably there is somebody for every financial institution who could tell you a story or two on why you shouldnt bank with say, Lloyds, RBS, Capital One, Egg etc etc. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0 -

Have you read the small print? It might be that there is something in there which might be your defence? Hope you don't mind me asking but why would you want a holiday on a loan that is only a month old? Would have thought that there would have been a period of time before you can exercise the holiday period, even if they did allow them. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. The loan isnt a month old its around a year old i needed a holiday from the loan for the christmas period. As i said before if i wasnt entitled why didnt their advisor just say so insted of telling me i was?? At the end of the day if they said no in the first place i would of tighten my belt at christmas and wouldnt be in the position im in now! :mad:0

Hi,
Glad to hear you are getting things sorted, we are in the same position - starting to sort stuff gradually.
From what I have read on other posts, it can take a while for everything to get set up but most companies seem to agree eventually. I think Payplan deals with all the negotiating.
