Goldfish/MHA Final Settlement, Help!?

Can anyone please advise - i currently have a Goldfish Card with a 4k limit, it stands at around 4700 and hasnt had a payment in around 5 months. As such it has gone to a firm called MHA or the Moorhouse Agency. Now i want to settle with a final settlement payment and have read on here about the potential for negoitiating a good discount.
I have made 6 phone calls, each time resulting in the offer of either 5 or 10% discount, i said it all to them as well, ' im going for an IVA and paying the best one off i can beforehand so if youll give me 40% ill give you 2.5k right now ' etc etc.
No joy. Do i need to write to get better, is it a time thing - account been with them for 3 months nearly but has been to them quite a few times in the past - am i saying the wrong things or are they just not a negotiating agcy?
Could anyone please help, if experience with these guys that would be great but similiar situations or any help much much appreciated.
Many thanks!
(apologies for the dup thread, i also posted this on another forum without realising best home for it!)

Your problem is that you made no payment at all for 5 months but obviously have money to F&F. Start making small payments for a few months and they might be more amenable.
Likewise, if you are completely missing other payments then you could have problems getting an IVA through.
