Yorkshire Building Society - New Build ??

Hi all,

Just wondering whether anyone knows if Yorkshire BS offer mortgages on New Builds with an LTV of 90% ??

Going to make an appointment to see their advisor but rather than waste their time thought I should get if they even lend on new builds seeing as many other lenders are pulling out

Not sure what it is for houses, but for flats, the maximum LTV is 75%

Why are you restricting yourself to Yorkshire BS? Why not do a comparison online for a mortgage? Most don't care if it's a new build a not. Only that the purchase price is equal to the valuation. They may be a strict on the valuation, but that might give you some bargaining power.

Actually I think you will find most care if it is a new build

It's not really that I am restricting myself, We are looking for deals through our broker, however I know there are a few lenders that don't offer mortgages through them so thought I would do a bit of searching myself to see what I could come up with.

This seems to be a very difficult task though as it rarely states on their website if they offer mortgages on New Build Flats or not and what the max LTV would be if they do.

Oh this whole situation is very stressful, now our Broker is saying wait for a while longer before we source our mortgage but I just want it sorted now because it's making me feel ill.

hi, maybe to late now but Yes YBS DO offer mortgages on New builds but with a Max LTV of 85% so you would need to find your extra 5% deposit.

Oh and subject to the valuation coming back in your favour and not lower than asking price!!!
