Has anyone else found their mortgage application incredibly slow? Its driving me crazy. It never used to be like this. It came back refer, but this turned out to be because someone had mis-keyed in my husbands date of birth. Its been a week now
I cant remember it taking this long in the past to say they will lend to us.

I have autistic spectrum disorder which is a social communication disorder so please be patient with me.

Even if its refer to underwriter it surely shouldnt take 7 weeks. Have you got to the valuation stage yet? I havent, as I still want to be sure that they will lend to me before I pay the valuation fee.I have autistic spectrum disorder which is a social communication disorder so please be patient with me.0

Its not gone to underwriters for us yet because Abbey keep asking for more information. In all fairness we are unsure whether its Abbey that are so slow or whether our broker messed up our application some how...we can only really take the brokers word for it and he's blaming it on Abbey. Valuation not yet arranged but we did pay the fee 7 weeks ago when the application was completed.0
