I keep getting bombarded with emails about their savings plan. I decided to have a look to see if you could save money on their offers. I was shocked. I would have expected it to be discounted because you are paying up front and they should be getting some bulk discount but nooooooo.
I copied the lists of several of their packages and entered all the details into Mysupermarket.com - on the cheese and crackers one theirs was £49 - Asda was £18, even waitrose was only £26. Even when I upped it to better brands and more luxury items it was still cheaper. On the big packages I was saving a whopping £100 +. All the supermarkets have sales. I always look at the 'best before date' and if it is past Christmas than I buy it.
This year I am stocking up more than usual because with this uncertainty I am sure it will come in handy to have a well stocked pantry & freezer. Yesterday I bought 6 tins of salmon (june 2013) 2 for 3, cordial (2012) 1/2 price.
Going to be a feast this year recession or not. :T
Does anyone where you can get cheap and style cannisters? Miss having Woolworths already theirs were great.

Hi, i can't believe they expect people still to pay thier prices, a lot of the hampers you wouldn't eat half the stuff.
I know what you mean about Woolies, i really miss ours, but on the subject of canisters Ikea have nice ones, not sure how much, but they have a online shop, so might be worth looking there.0
