Easter Cross Stitch Cards

Hello Everyone
I'd like to cross stitch some Easter cards but when I checked on Ebay I could only see some nice ones which had already been completed. I didn't really like the look of the kits that were on there that were to stitch.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get myself some nice cross stitch Easter card kits please, from online?
Thanks
Sal

Hi.
I can really recommend sewandso. Their service is fantastic.
Might also be worth a look at some of the cross stitch magazines in the shops at the moment. Or on ebay try using 'cross stitch magazine Jan 09' (feb 09, Mar 09 etc but they tend to do things 2/3 months in advance) in your search and the blurb should tell you what is inside. I have a couple listed at the mo but can't remember whether any of them have Easter designs or not.

Hi Sally, have a look at the April issue of Cross Stitch Crazy there are 50 small charts that are perfect for cards with cute bunnies, eggs, chicks etc.
Hobbycraft are selling small Easter kits that are a good size for cards but they cost about £1 each I think. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
I know a nice method -
Draw a shape of an egg on the front of a blank card in pencil (that can be rubbed out easily) then fill in the egg with holes made with a biggish needle (in straight lines) so the holes match up.
Then stitch the egg using cross stitch and make some lines in the middle a different colour.
You can add a small bow to the middle too.
I made some Christmas cards using this method (different design) and plan to make some Easter ones. You might need to experiment at first, but when you get the hang it will cost pennies if you already have blank cards and threads.
Or else, buy some very cheap Easter cards in the charity or pound shop and find one with design that you can embroider on the top. I've done that with a wedding card and it came out really nice.0 -
Angela, I think I get what you mean but do you have any pics?
