Updated - To Smeg or not to Smeg

My significant other has seen her name on the Strongbow Bowtime winners list for 31 August 2008 for one of the Smeg fridges. List here
Strangely enough I did get a phone call on the 1st September from Strongbow which set my heart racing. A nice Scottish lady said that there was a problem with the details in the winning text and could I give her the details over the phone. It turned out in the end that she'd only won a glass. We both thought it was nice that someone would take the trouble to phone over such a minor prize. I even mentioned the phone call in the Bowtime winners thread on MSE that same day - here - in post number 52.
I know that there is a chance that someone with the same name may have won and this is all just coincidence. She has contacted Strongbow to clarify the situation, so fingers crossed. Will update here with any reply.
Update - a lovely lady from the promotions team has contacted us today and it's great news. A large shiny black Smeg fridge freezer will be on it's way shortly. They were so pleased to have tracked us down. :j

I'm still waiting for a couple of wins from late November but the winners list stops in early November. Looks like they still have some draws to do, though they're certainly taking their time over them. I wonder if they're hoping no-one will notice? :rolleyes:
