usually you have council tax free months in Feb and March
EU tariff on agricultual product 12.2%
some dairy products 42.1% cloths 11.4%
EU Clinical Trials Directive stops medical advances
  • As clapton said feb and mar.I think this is so they can add everything up from the year before so they know how much they need to increase it by in april.(the new year in financial terms )
You should get a letter mid march letting you know how much to pay and when every month.

Council Tax bills issued from April have to give a minimum of 10 installments so you usually make no payments in Feb and Mar (you pay 12 months over 10) however the council can give more installments at discretion. If in doubt check with your Council as you may have had an amended installment scheme.
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.
  • Depends on your council and when they set their council tax budget. My council (who do tend to be one of the last to set their budget) took the last payment on 3rd February so my non-payment months are March and April, start again 3rd May,
