I would like to sell some Silver items (not jewellery)

Options
I would like to sell some Silver items (not jewellery). Some are hallmarked and some are not. They vary from shoe horns to spoons and were a few items my dad left me when he died a few years back. Any suggestions where I can sell them for the best price? Anywhere online? Maybe eBay? Thanks!

  • If I were you I would take them to a local auctioneers, if there is one where you live.

if not, try a local antiques market and get a few quotes. Don't expect to get a fortune though as silver prices are down. You may well only be quoted scrap value in any case, unless the items are nice and saleable.

    Hope this helps!

  • It's a shame silver prices are down as gold prices have risen so much in recent times!
  • Has anyone tried eBay for silver items? Or any of those online scrap silver purchasing websites?...
