Sarahshattered- I love your sig! MMSSB! lol! My DD (8 months) is crawling and cruising so it has only just begun- a lifetime of SSB before me! Better in the long run I am assured! She already knows what she isn't allowed, but sometimes does it anyway and gets the selective hearing, then 'tells me off' when I get up and move her- and people say they don't understand! :D

Ha! I love it too Fernlie My little minxes need a firmly cracked whip every now and again! But I agree, they do know what's what for sure! Good for you, she will be all the better for having boundaries and a consistent Mummy. :D

    morning :hello:

i hope everyone had a great weekend!!!

well, i had a kind of a disaster - my pc suddenly shut down and wouldn't start up again   - so oh and i spent all afternoon finding a way to start it up again to get at least all the important files off it and then i don't care really (mainly photos and documents)
so finally!!! oh did something and it would boot up again but i can't copy anything  - now i am waiting for oh to wake up to fix that as well ;) - i am on my laptop right now (don't like it) and i might have found a solution but i rather ask him first ...
so i am not a happy bunny :(

  • Morning. I'm in again this week.

I'm doing the kitchen and dining room today. I've also got to do the conservatory to clear up after DH and his DIY. The new sofa is coming tomorrow so it needs to be done today. Also hope to clean the car inside and out but the kids are helping with that because they aren't back to school until tomorrow.

    I'll update my progress later.
  • Morning all.
Back to the dentist again today :(
So, if anyone has a spare moment, 'all go smoothly' vibes for about 11.50 please.

MOJT it is with a training provider rather than a college. I got in touch with them through the job centre. So far i've had 2 weeks training, Mon-Thurs i'm on placement, Fri back to training centre. I think Nicki's doing something similar. You get an NVQ level 2 at the end.

Holly - Good luck!!! I'm sure you'll be fine. If I can do it anyone can ;) I'm doing an NVQ Level 2 in supporting teaching and learning in schools. Sounds like you're training center is better than mine. We had one week of learning about filling in application forms and writing a CV and "team building" then we were put on our placements! Talk about getting thrown in at the deep end! Have you been told about the Louise Burnham book? I'm basically re-writing it in my own words for the knowledge stuff. ;) I also use a forum for TA...I'll PM you the link if you want... they have an NVQ section ;):rotfl::rotfl:

DD is back at school today although for how long I don't know. She's exhausted from being sick, then away and last night was one of those nights where I turned around and 2 hours had flown by so she was really late getting to bed! :o She's also complaining of a sore throat and her glands are up, and she's got a stinking cough & cold :wall: I just can't win. BUT I'm being assessed on Wednesday so I can't afford to be taking time off.

Speaking of which I really need to get myself sorted - I'm miles behind on my NVQ work and I wanted it done by this week so I could spend my time during my assessment trying to cover the last few things, and then writing up anything that doesn't quite cover what it needs to....and if that makes sense to you then you're better than me ATM.:rotfl::rotfl:

I'm going to be working from my own list this week as I cleaned through so well over the weekend ;) My biggest job, and its is in the livingroom of sorts, is clearing the washing mountain that grew yesterday between stripping the beds and DD coming home. She's away from Friday to Sunday again this week (ex is having her at his house since they spent this last weekend mainly at his parents place) so I need to make sure things are washed, dried and I'm going to see if I can be efficient enough NOT to have to iron them :p We'll see. Sorry to say I WILL be using the TD though - I haven't got the time to spare to be pegging things out... roll on the 7th March when I should be done and dusted with this NVQ!!

HOWEVER, first things first - I'm going to go and wash my hair, and have a bath. I feel dirty and half asleep so I'm hoping it will help wake me up. While I do that, I'm going to put my bedding thats still wet from yesterday on the maiden to dry and the quilt in the TD to dry... I couldn't sleep properly last night as I didn't have any padding on the mattress.

    My list :
    • Laundry x
    • Dishes
    • NVQ :
      • Unit 1 - Knowledge x 3 / statement for 1.3
      • Unit 2 - Knowledge x 2 / Statements
      • Unit 3 - Knowledge x 24 / statements
      • Unit 4 - Knowledge x 10 / Statements
      • Unit 5 - Knowledge x 13 / Statements
      • Unit 9 - Knowledge x 10 / Statements
    • Write list of policies I still need to get from school... :o They're in the middle of changing some of them so I need to see if I can even get copies of some of them. I can see me blagging alot of this at this rate
    Right, bath...

Morning all, s o pleased the kids are back at school, with snow days and half term it seems ages since they have been. Woody is missing them and is on my shoulder already.

    Holly good luck

crafty hope all goes smoothly at the dentist

I'm going to do a HHC to get my dalies done and then see if I can get the living room done in a HHC too. First though quick visit to M&S on line in the hope of finding school troussers.
