best value digital camera - olympus c310?

I am trying to get two digital cameras for my teenagers for christmas.  Don't know where to start so looked at Amazon and uk digital cameras and think the olympus c-310 zoom could be a good deal cos it has good reviews ie easy to use, accesory pack deal  etc.
Any help on this one bearing in mind i need to order in time for christmas?
Thought i had bettter add it costs arund £100 is that about the right price I should be looking at?

yes it's very good and very popular - even before they had the special offer - but just remember you'll need memory cards as well.

Take a look at the Nikon Coolpix 3200. Jessops are selling this for £140, but Boots have it on special offer at £100. Jessops price matched it without a problem. I couldn't find it cheaper on the net.

I prefer Jessops because they are a specialist and the staff know what they're talking about. They told me that they would price match Amazon.

One point to consider is the memory. Firstly you'll need to buy bigger memory cards. Prices are dropping real fast so it might be worth waiting until after Christmas. Alternatively there are loads of sites selling memory dirt cheap. Note, the xD cards are more expensive.

the benefit with Olympus is they seem to have larger monitors 1.8" which I find a lot easier.

I bought Fuji Finepix 607 from Dixons del.free @£99.Excellent camera for the price.Dixons said it was originally £249 but take that with a pinch of salt
