I want 100 vodka martinis!

i have found plastic disposable glasses for £18 delivered! bargain!

now all i need is the vodka and martini (and olives)

do you think costco is the best place for the drink and the olives? if not any suggestions on where will be the best place.

Also, i have never made vodka martinis before so how many bottles of each do you think i will need? for 100 vodka martinis?

i know not everyone will have them so have overestimated!

(it is for reception drinks for my OH's 30th James Bond party)

Sorry - I don't think this is gonna help your "vodka" query, but did you know you can hire glasses from Tescos for free? Just pay a deposit, pick them up, use them, wash them, take them back, get deposit back !

A standard pub measure is 25ml and 40 x 25ml = 1 litre.

I agree with the previous poster on the glasses front, they'll feel better and look much classier as well as saving money.

wow didnt know about tesco free glass hire - thats excellent!

i was gonna do
1/2 oz vodka
3/4 oz dry vermouth

Shake vodka and vermouth together with several ice cubes in a shaker. Strain into a cocktail glass, garnish with an olive and serve

am i doing it wrong?! i dont want it to be a disaster!!

If you bought the alcohol from somewhere like tescos, and had overestimated the amount you needed, could you not return any un-opened bottles if you kept the receipt? That way you could make sure you have enough, without wondering what to do with any excess.

thats an excellent idea - i was thinking if i got huge bottles from costco and i overestimated i might be stuck drinking vodka for the rest of the year! oh its a hard life!
