Mad Warehouse - Southport

Hiya - a place called 'Mad Warehouse' on Tulketh St. in Southport (just by the NCP) has recently opened and is brill.... There is loads of stuff there - lots of ex Tesco, Avon, M&S etc etc products...
I just bought a yoga mat for £3, 2 x 1.5lb wrist weights for £1, a pack of 5 'fine art' cards (all the same card in the pack) for £1 etc etc.... They have a load of golf stuff, baseball caps (official england cricket cap for £2) suitcases and some jeans for £5.. Another example is a Royal Doulton dressing gown for £9.99... Plus (just while I remember) a pair of 'hand warmers' (ex-avon) for £1 and loads of food (40p for fruit in alcohol, 3 x packets of 100g cocoa deli chocs for £1)....
check it out (incidentally, the parking is free if you are shopping in the warehouse BUT, it is only £1.50 per day otherwise..... (£1.40 for 4 hours in the NCP next door)....
I've checked the forum and haven't found any other posts about this.. Sorry if I missed one.....

    Thanks.
    Going to Southport this week.
    Where's Tulketh Street?
Will get off train then walk down to Lord Street.
    Is it nearby?
    Sounds like a good store

When you get off the train turn left (through M&S) - go through the food hall and you'll come out on Tulketh Street. Turn left and head towards the NCP carpark (used to be Waitrose and before that Morrisons). The warehouse is immediately after the carpark ramp - and advertises all day parking for £1.50.....

BTW: Lord Street is in the wrong direction....
If you get stuck ask for the NCP on Tulketh Street (not sure how many people know about the warehouse)...

I found out that the shop is open, 9am-5pm - it was shut on monday as they were sick (typical, I guess it was bound to happen)....

each to their own - we found some good stuff there - exactly what my mum had been looking for on the yoga side of things, she saved at least £20 on the few bits she bought... if they are not there long, then so be it. I went back for the blackberries soaked in alcohol (40p a jar) and the cocoa deli chocs (3 boxes for a £1)... - gorgeous and bloomin' cheap....
