There are really nice F&F women's suit trousers for £5 (incl VAT) and even nicer ones for £8 in Tescos at the moment.
I bought 2 of each for my DD yesterday for school and they were a better fit than the age 14 school trousers they sell (for £7 with no VAT) and better quality.
Best of all they come in short, medium and long length. Shame they can't do the same for the actual school trousers.
The smallest size I saw was 8 and the largest 18. The 8 short fitted DD where the age 14 girls school trousers were too big and too long.
They come in black, grey and navy.

My daughter is a tall, not skinny 15 year old - she has worn Sainburys ladies plain black trousers(£10) in S,R and now L since she started Senior school. Most "school" trousers are made for really thin long-legged girls. Although my niece is just that build and they have great difficulty getting trousers for school. As for shoes.......0
