Dunstonh is entirely correct that the funds held inside the HL SIPP have annual management charges

Err, but that's not what he said.He said the SIPP had an AMC, not the funds within it.It doesn't.

Dunstonh is constantly lecturing posters to make a distinction between the pension wrapper and the funds within it, yet here he completely blurs the two.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)

You and he were writing about AMCs. You and he and I all know that those are charged by the funds within the product in the case of the HL SIPP.

But even disregarding that, you most surely know about the 0.5% that HL charges as a management fee on shares in the SIPP, since that's your own preferred investment type and you've written about it here before.

[STRIKE]Yes, you can correctly criticise Dunstonh for not making that distinction between fund charges and wrapper (the SIPP itself) charges but[/STRIKE] that doesn't do anything to reduce the fact that your own post was misleading. You can be a great resource when you're trying to inform but posts like that just make you look bad.

Can you please point out where you have got that impression on this thread.

For example, I look at my post #24 and it says:
If you are investing in unit trust funds in the SIPP where the AMC is 1.5% and the stakeholder is 0.5% or the PPP is 0.4% then its clear which is the cheapest..

Its quite clear I am referring to unit trusts and the discussion is about the HL SIPP which is geared to unit trust investments.
