Butlins At Skegness

We have just returned from Butlins at Skegness. The food here is quite pricy but we managed to find a pub that did meals for 99p.

The pub is in Winthorpe on the A52 between Skegness and the Butlins resort. It is called the Royal Oak. We drove past ans saw the board advertising the cheap meals and believed that there must be a catch.

Upon visiting the pub, we were amazed at the deal on offer. You could get a starter for 99p, a desert for 99p and a main for 99p. A 3 course meal for just £2.97 each. The food was lovely and you got a decent portion to eat.

I would highly recommend this pub to anyone who is visiting butlins in the near future. We saved a huge amount of our money which we would have had to pay out inside the Butlins resort.

There is a car park at the rear of this pub if you don't fancy the 20 mniute walk.

I hope that this will benefit people and hopefully save them some cash

i went half board this time at butlins in skeggy, the food was fab and worth every penny of the £65 it cost for me and my son.

Me and my Bf are off to a caravan park called Summerlands in the summer (I think it's along the same stretch of road as Butlins is situated) and we were worried about the cost of food!

I'll keep it in mind now when we go ha

Thanks for this tip - we go to Butlins as Skegness with our 3 year old in July for a weeks self catering break so this is a great recommendation.

Did you enjoy the camp if you dont mind me asking. We have booked with the Skyline Park (private owned vans) rather than booking through the site as it was much cheaper than booking direct with Butlins.

Don't forget you can use your tesco clubcard vouchers to pay for butlins.
