Just had this in an email from Beauty Bible:
Would you like to join our perfume panel?
Do you love fragrance? Are you - well, almost as obsessed with it as we are…? And would you like to meet up with us and give your verdict on some of the latest fragrance launches…?
We’ve always wondered how we can incorporate fragrance into our Tried & Testeds - and we decided that the best possible way was to invite some of you to try a selection of fragrances with us, in person, so that we can hear your impressions and come up with a shortlist of the latest and greatest. (It’s all part of helping steer women to products they’ll love and are worth splashing out on…) We’re really looking forward to hearing your comments and meeting some of you. So…
On 18th March 2009, at a convenient location in central London, we are hosting our first-ever Beauty Bible Perfume Panel. (The timings will be 10.45 a.m. - 12.45 p.m.) We are delighted that we’ll be joined by Lorna Mackay, who has been the buyer for fragrance at Harrods and Liberty (as well as at QVC) - and who loves the world of perfume as much as we do - to join our discussion, and share some of her passion with you…
We’ll then have a little sniffathon - interspersed with coffee beans (and coffees, teas and biccies!) - and you’ll be asked for your impressions.
We know it can be a bit scary turning up for something like this on your own, so those of you who are selected for the Perfume Panel will be invited to bring along a friend for company. (Although you’ll both have to make your way to the venue at your own expense.) Your friend, of course, will be invited to join in, too…
We’ll have a lovely little fragrant goodie bag for you to take home - and, we hope, some memories of a very enjoyable morning.
So: how do you apply? We’d like you to write 100 words or so about your favourite-ever perfume - where you first encountered it, and most importantly, why you love it…
