1st Stop

A couple of years ago I arranged a load (stupidly) through 1st Stop.
I later found out I would be paying in excess of 60% interest. I was one of the lucky ones who managed to pull out at the last min. I recently looked at their site and they are advertising loans with an APR OF 63.1%, Secured loans of 25.6% and car loans at 44.9%. At least !!!!!! Turpin had the decency to wear a mask!
They have also got their fingers in a lot of other pies including Debt Management, where they will obviously make even more money (for what the CAB will do for free) out of people who can't afford to pay the loans that 1st stop sold them in the first place!
HERE'S THE GOOD NEWS:
1ST STOP HAVE NOW GONE BUST:T
The directors are closing the doors on 26th Feb 09 and Administrators are going in:j

Well i'm going out for a pint tonight and suggest that whenever you have your next drink you raise your glass to the demise of another bunch of money grabbing, scum who prey on the vulnerable of society. If you want to check out this bunch of w_ _ _ _ _ _ this is their site http://www.1ststop.co.uk but be quick it won't be there much longer :rotfl:

First off if I personally needed a loan I'd never use any company charging that much interest. I have no time for any of them. 60% odd is not excessive though compared to many others out there, believe me.

However.......you're saying they are a bunch of money grabbing crooks. So tell us what exactly they (or any similar company for that matter) are doing that's criminal or illegal?
As you say, the APRs they charge are all clearly advertised on their website. All the information is there, they're not pulling the wool over anyone's eyes. If you don't like them, don't use them. Simple.

    What's the problem?
