Im definatley a debt free nerd..Im WANTING to ecieve my CC bills!

 ...I cannot wait for my credit card bills to come in so I can pay them off. What is wrong with me:confused:

Maybe its because once they are paid I can try and enjoy the money (if any) I have left.

Its nice to get back on track with all my finanaces at last. Although Lloyds loan are messing s about with settling our last payment at the moment. Hoping to go our branch next week and give them a mouthful! Also thyve been charging us left right and centre. We will be closing DH account too once loan is settled (Only £485 to pay!! Yeeeeeah!):T

So Im now officially a debt free NERD:cool:

PS/DH is desperate to buy a Wii console and I keep telling him no too. I really would love one too for the kids..but want our debts cleared first:D

Most things you buy have a novelty value of less than 2 weeks, if you go into debt to buy something the thought of having to pay it off normally reduces the 'novelty time'.

Best thing to do if you want maximum enjoyment out of things that you buy, is to buy them without going into debt. It really is that simple.
  • Strangely, I like receiving one particular statement. What's wrong with me? I open it, not want to jump through the roof with rage? lol

Incidentally, AD I like your signature. Especially after I saw the price of Cillit Bang this afternoon ... it better do what it says! ;):D
Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.
  • yep im just about done with my lloyds loan now!! only 6 weeks max left till its paid off.

yet every time i go in the bank they offer me new loans and cards and accounts, i have complained and asked for it to be noted on my file but to no avail!!! so will have to argue with them for next few weeks about not wanting any more overpriced credit!!!!
cant wait for my money to be my own and treat myself to a few things, and hopefully start up my own business!!!
hope you have lots of luck with your final push too!!!
£5000 debt cleared thanks to MSE advice :money:

  • Am agreeing with Ad9898 on the Wii and the novelty factor - we bought ours Xmas 07 and think we must have only played on it 10-20 times in all that time - I am seeing why our credit card bills are so high now lol!!!!! Mind you we don't have kids yet so guess it might be different if we did, and I'm sure the new baby won't be a Wii player for many years yet.

Nova at least buying household stuff in Wilkinsons is cheaper than the supermarket, and whilst in town you can do some window shopping.

Sugarpants thanks for the congrats on our baby, I think she is the main reason we are tackling the debts, maybe if she wasn't coming we would still be burying our heads in the sand. OH even took a pack lunch to work this morning, something he has sworn he would never do - wonders will never cease!!!!
