Ideas for pew ends in church?

Hi guys,

We're getting married on the 31st of October this year and I'm trying to think of ideas for decorations on the end of the church pews. We're on a budget so I'm not sure about real flowers as they can be quite expensive. Does anyone have any ideas of what we could use instead? Any suggestions welcome!!

Do you HAVE to have something? It would keep the costs down even more if you didn't have anything - just a suggestion.

Having been to weddings in small and large churches, I've never been to one that has had pew end decorations and to be honest I don't think anyone had ever questioned that. I thought it strange when looking into decor for my own last year that people decorated the pew ends when you're only there for around 30-45 mins. That was from a moneysaving angle obviously, if budget is no problem then you could decorate everything, but personally pew ends are a bit of a waste of money.

Organza bows on their own sound nice though, if you do have to have something there, at least these can be easily removed and taken to the reception with you and used there aswell.

Why do you need pew decorations?

People are there to see you get married.

Might be a silly question, but, have you checked the Church date for Harvest Festival? It may be that your Church will be decorated as HF's vary in date from early October to begining of November. Some churches don't deck out in fruit and veg but flowers too.
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

I'd suggest asking the church what floral displays they will be having on the day. When we get married, the church provides the pedestal flowers by their own flower arrangers. Our church can have up to 4 weddings on each Saturday, so it is not practical for us to provide flowers in the church, esp seeing as we'll only be in there 45 minutes!!

If you're on a budget - I would put the money towards the reception flowers as you'll be in the reception longer than you will at the church!
