I often get like this but I have come to realise that the back of my debt is broken. I will be totally debt free within 6 months or so. Contrast this to the fact that december 2004 I had so little cash that I could barely afford christmas presents.

Now just about in time for my birthday I should be able to put away just shy of £1000 a month :)

If proof were needed it can be done, I am it. I will also say it aint easy and you do find yourself lusting after toys (for example I sold my Subaru but I will be able to afford a new (well to me) one soon enough, for cash.

Thats my present to myself because I had to put up with all my friends and their brand new cars, houses decked out to the max on the cc, people bragging about they had that we didnt.

Now the boot is somewhat on the other foot, these people are slowly realising that they screwed up, not me.

Also you do find yourself saving at every opportunity. I dont like retail price ;) but it stays with you. Once you have learnt the true value of money, it tends to appreciate you more ;)

    :)
