Gawd - that poor guy having to go to such lengths to get a job. I would feel far too humiliated to do that in his place - but good for him for showing a bit of gumption on t'other hand. He's certainly trying - so hope things work out for him.0

According to the local news last night he's had several offers so it can't be a bad idea. It's already worked for him once too.0

I hope he does get a job soon, although I wouldn't want to do that everyday so he does deserve to get a job. Its awful when you apply for one and then you go the interview and there is 20 people there all competing for the same position with no light at the end of the tunnel. Been there myself.0

Seems as if "The Grapes of Wrath" by John Steinbeck will be a reality if things don't improve." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

It says on the old photo of the stalked by stork he is 28, funny he looks 58 to me.
Fair play to Jason Fruen though, not many would be willing to do that. He deserves to succeed. Good luck to him. :TI came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0 -

I remember in the 90s seeing a well dressed man in his 50s standing at a busy round about on the way to the city with a sign hanging round his neck "Senior Manager looking for employment". I felt very sad about it and often wondered if anyone stopped to offer him an interview.0

What's the fuss? I was made redundant in 2006, and had no idea what job I wanted to do with my new part-time degree, so walked the industrial estates and office buildings collecting addresses, and sent CVs and covering letters to over 200 local employers. I'm now in the best job of my life. I would certainly do what he did for a job.Been away for a while.0
