Response Credit Management - Advice please

Hi,

Out of the blue a "Notification of Outstanding Debt" has been sent to the wife at our home address. It states that this was issued on behalf of "Aktiv Kapital (UK) Ltd (GE Capital Glob. Cons. Fin. Ltd".

We know we have no such debt and have never dealt with either company. There are no other details other than how we can pay them! Searching the web, we found others in exactly the same situation.

...is this a scam? Should we respond (telling them to foff politely via recorded letter)? or just ignore?

But when I got to be twenty one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years.”
