Very very good! Must admit i'm fed up of not getting cheap music in town, most of it (even the old and rubbish albums) are selling at about £8 each.

    Ty for the link!

  • Thank you so much, I love Elbow and already have Seldom Seen Kid but have just ordered three of their other albums for less than £12 delivered to my door. Fab, thanks again.

Try to listen to the album and you will be hooked. I saw them at the Royal Festival Hall last year as I was working there. I had never heard of them either and was really pleased I went. I met them aswell and they are lovely. Well done Elbow-Proper MusIc!!!!
  • I'm always suprised when a band starts selling bucketloads due to winning awards - surely anyone into music will have bought these years back?!

That's a ridiculous statement...i love my music...sometimes a band have been around for ages but it takes just one song for it to make you sit up and listen...I've only started to like Coldplay since Viva la Vida...and sometimes it depends on your frame of mind....when Coldplay first started out, i was out clubbing and it was all a bit dreary to me, whereas now i love some of their older stuff....
Also i'm bringing up a large family so music has to take a backseat...although I try to listen to various radio stations to keep me up to date.
I think Brit music is the best it has been in a long time...and even the pop music is pretty good too

Some people are far too busy to spend time reading magazines, reading music forums, or keeping up with music.

And there there are other people, who find there are so many new and upcoming bands out there, that you want to see live in small venues before they make it big that they can occasionally miss out on certain bands.

I am very into music and going to gigs, and yes I had heard of Elbow(!) but I am constantly finding bands that I overlooked somehow (probably due to the fact I often work 12 hour days).
