Looks good, can't see the same camera cheaper anywhere else. Seems to normally retail at £120; Argos and Amazon have it on offer at £75.0

How do I find the Argos Clearance shop pls?0

It's on ebayA shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

The same camera is £76.33 in Argos.
There are reviews at Steves Digicams and Imaging Resource
Briefly, its a reasonable basic camera. It is 8MP, with a 4x zoom and takes SDHC cards and 2 AA batteries. The main problem is that the flash takes a while to recharge (8-10s).
You can also upgrade the firmware for some Canon compact cameras, to get a lot more control over the camera, output RAW files, bracketing etc from CHDK
At the moment the A580 isn't on the list of CHDK-supported models, but there is some work in progress I had scanned the list of supported models and seen the A560, A570 and A590IS on the list. I only noticed the A580 was missing later0 -
would you recommend yhis camera then? im thinking of buying it.

thanks.
I've bought one, but it hasn't arrived yet.
Its a decent all round camera for the money - for a wide range of different types of picture. Its not enormous, but there are thinner cameras. It takes 2 AA batteries which means that if you run out, then you can buy some alkaline batteries and take a few more pictures. They don't last long though, so you will want to get some NiMH batteries and a charger as well. The controls are suppsoed to be a reasonable balance between being easy to use, but giving you control over the camera when the automatic settings don't get it right.
You also get an optical viewfinder as well as the screen on the back. Not many cameras have those nowadays. They are useful to have when it is very sunny and you can't see things on the screen. This camera does not have any image stabilisation, which helps to reduce blurring of pictures, particularly when you have zoomed in to photograph something from a distance. In general, cameras will get cheaper and better if you can wait. If you spend more, then you will get more features, but this is a reasonable camera for the price.0 -
