Dates

Today I bought 9 x 200g boxes of dates from the local greengrocer (3 for £1). They are in those little trays with a plastic "stick" to pick them out - I'm sure you know what I mean . Anyway, I want to transfer them all into a zippy bag for ease of storing and I was thinking of rolling them in something first to take away the "stickiness". Could I use flour - or should it really be sugar? Thanks in advance

It should be sugar but if you are going to use them for baking I shouldn't think flour would hurt or why not try cornflour it is a lot lighter than flour.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
