Need advice

Hi, i need some help.. last January i got a letter from Fredricksons saying i owed £185.50 for an o2 mobile from the carphonewarehouse i logged on to the website and set up a payment arrangement of £20 per month. this ended november 2008 where i was all payed up i logged onto the website to check the status of the plan and to my surporise i now owed £245..... everytime i payed £20 they added charges of £31.50... i called Fredricksons and they told me that carphonewarehouse were able to do that even tho they dont actually think it is right, i got multiple debit letters and called them everytime telling them i did not think this was right, i worte to them at christmas laying out why i didnt think it was right, i received a letter yesterday asking for me to call Fredricksons and when i spoke to the chap, he said it was in their terms and conditions and they have been told to chase the debit, however he could do me a favor.... if i pay £20 today he can then give me a settlement figure to wipe out the whole debit this will be a reduced figure but could not tell me what it is until i pay..... my question is WHAT SHOULD I DO?

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!!!

Firstly, ask them for a copy of a SIGNED AGREEMENT and when you put that in writing, do NOT sign it with your usual signature - get my drift?

Stop phoning and put everything into writing as you won't always get the truth on the phone - they will say anything to get money.
