i read somewhere about using electron for ordering online with Asda - apologies if I'm repeating something from here...
Apparently if you order a food shop they provisionally take the full amount for the shopping before discounts, then when they deliver they take the right amount from your account, but the provisional amount is not reurned to your account for several days..
So one to be aware of maybe?BSC No: 2450 -

I seem to get the impression that probalems with Electron are down to the process that the company uses to take your money..
For example pay at pump petrol stations don't take the money from your account straight away, but visa debit and credit cards are guaranteed payments, so if you filled up your tank then emptied your bank account the bank still has to honour the payment.
Electron cards are not honoured in that way, hence why you can't use them..
I'm guessing that's why Asda do the thing where they make a claim on the full amount as soon as you order then collect the correct amount and tell the bank they have no further interest in the first amount claimed and it is returned to your account..BSC No: 2450 -
I do not know what is wrong with Visa Electron.
QVC, and bid.tv accept it, but Ideal World dont.0
