mercers debt collectors

hello, i hope someone can help me, i hope i've posted this in the right place! i'm on a DMP with the CCCS and one of my creditors is barclaycard who have passed the debt to mercers debt collectors. as yet they havent threatened any collectors to come to my house but what they do keep threatening is legal action against me. has anyone had this before? or does anyone know what is the likelihood that they would actually go ahead with legal action? what would happen if they did? i have just started on maternity leave and only getting government paid Maternity Allowance at £117 a week for the next 39 weeks, surely taking the debt to court would be pointless for them? i owe them £9500 (not credit card debt but car finance) and due to the low maternity pay i cant afford any more than the £5 per month the CCCS recommended. thank you!

Is it Mercers turn now ...

Mercers ISN'T a DCA BTW they ARE Barclaycard. For anyone else it's a simple matter of checking their address but also Companies House.and one of my creditors is barclaycard who have passed the debt to mercers debt collectors. a
I hope someone else can help you with your query ... first NCO, now Mercers.
I must say you seem remarkably savvy with keywords already as you just joined ... and already know the answers to some of your queries in your initial post.
Just an observation.
Hang on, just back up a bit here cos this doesn't make sense when read:i owe them £9500 (not credit card debt but car finance)
You said it's BC, now it's not a credit card but car finance ... Bit confusing.
Incidentally, I also pay £5 to BC ... Anyway, for the benefit of any DCA employees might be reading my posts this afternoon I am now going downstairs, out my front door ... I am joking but you never know with these people ... So, any strange cars out there ... expect to get arrested by 4 pm.
Anyway, hope you get help.Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

haha i've been lurking seeing if anyone had asked the question before me but although lots of people have posted saying how rubbish they are i couldnt find anything about them taking legal action against people, i guess credit card debts usually tend to be a bit smaller!!Mummy to

even if they did take you to court, the judge would see that you are currently paying via a DMP and that you are paying what you can

make sure you let cccs know that they are hassling you and they may be able to deal with it:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
