Food for thought.
How did Hitler after the 1933 german hyperinflation problem in just 7 years rebuild a country powerful enough to take over half of the world, 7 pocket battleships an airforce a navy and an army from a country in financial ruin?
forgeting the monster he was he must of also been an economic genius.
he did all that and wasnt supposed to of been able to do any of it since they banned the germans after WW1.
where did he get the money from?

1. Replace worthless currency with a new one
2. Use it to build tanks and planes and rifles
3. Invade every country in close proximity that has a bank and annex the cash
4. Deposit the cash in Zurich for your retirement in Argentina.

Good question,
I didn't know the answer off hand, so googled it.
A bloke called Gustav Stresemann seems to have been the economic genius, not Hitler. When he died Hitler took over.
See the following under the heading "How did Germany recover from 1923 onwards?"

Ooh yes good question, and very interesting answers. We didnt get told stuff like that at school and its the kind of thing I always wondered about. Gives a chilling reminder on the dangers of nationalism...0

They pumped an incredible amount of money into their economy in the pre-war years, managing to achieve full employment. After years of misery, the people were happy with this. I'm not sure how Hitler funded the war machine in the subsequent years. They did issue a lot of bonds though.
They probably issued attractive looking bonds to the financially savvy jews. We all know what happened next....0 -

they didn't do anything as subtle as that. if i recall correctly, they just passed a law saying that they could confiscate money and assets from jewish people.0 -

I doubt they had the social implications we do in britain.
He also used a lot of the unemployed people to do work such as laying new road infrastructure etc.:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.

1923. Not 1933.
So all we have to do is wait 16 years and Gordon Brown will be invading half the world.

not really, although if we got them to do work their benefits would need to at least be minimum wage, otherwise they'd all run to the european court of human rights.0
