Hi all just been reading the price increase thread and noticed a lot of people where adding lists of items to bulk buy where the prices will increase just wondered if everyone could write down the items they could think of (and possibly cheapest place to buy it) on this list so people could have easy access just to the list of items. Thanks

I dont think its a case of bulk buying specific items its more a case of stockpiling staple cupboard items when they are on special offer. For example tinned chopped tomatoes are 33p a tin at the moment and thats the value ones but Netto have 4x tins chopped tomatoes for 99p so I have bought quite a few packs to take advantage. The same is true of Baked Beans they were on special offer a couple of weeks ago for £1 for 4tins saving about £0.50p a pack. You could also stockpile the cheap butter (47p) thats about at the moment, it freezes well and should last a few months.Fairy liquid is on offer in Asda at the moment at 47p for 1lt bottle.Well worth buying a dozen as it will never go off and the only reason its reduced is that they have changed the bottle shape and these are the old shape bottle.I could go on but you get the gist

They have changed the shape of the bottle and it now holds 450ml instead of 500ml!0

my stockpiling ...
Toilet rolls, t bags, coffee, dried milk, cat food tins, cat food biscuits, pickle, pickled onions, baked beans, tinned toms, shampoo, soap, shower gel, pease pudding, kidney beans, cola, beer, sugar, xmas cards, xmas wrapping paper, light bulbs... I forget what else.
You might ask where I store it all. The kick boards that are round the bottom of my elderly kitchen units - have removed them and replaced with drawer fronts ( 50p each B & Q sale) held on by magnetic catches, I load up plastic ikea trays and slide the tins in and out. Drawer divan bed - drawers are full of loo roll and coffee. Cat food - bottom of the coats cupboard.0
