we wanted a high multiple mortgage, with a decent deposit and felt it would be comfortably affordable, and that in fact, with the fixes we were looking at...would have been be able to make over payments.
I am in agreement in the majority of circumstances about the multiple thingy though.0 -

This is getting boring now ad44downey. If you have nothing worthwhile to contribute then do one.0 -
Is chucky Dan:'s sock puppet?
Or is Dan: chucky's sock puppet?
It's a real puzzler, that's for sure.Krusty & Phil Madoff, 1990 - 2007:

where do these stupid statistics come from? over half of londoners expect to buy a property in the next year?
so, there are about 8 million people in london. even if we say that on average a house "purchasing unit" consists of 4 people, which it doesn't, this means that there would be 1 million property transactions in london in 2009.
that is, quite simply, ridiculous, given that it extremely unlikely that there will be anything approaching 1 million property transactions nationally in 2009. (edit: to be fair, i suppose they do point out that these people won't actually get finance for the transactions).
i'd love to see more detail on the sample of people they surveyed to get to these stats.0 -
