SO name changed?

DH pays his maintenance by standing order every month. I've just been checking the account today and noticed that the name of it has changed. When we set it up we put CSA************ (case reference number). However, from January it's now coming up on the statement as CSA CLIENT FUND AC. On the standing order detail page DHs NI number is listed as a seperate reference - but now I'm concerned that there is no reference to the case number or who the maintenance is paid for.
Has anyone else had this?

My standing order states CSA CLIENT FUND but it also states my CSA reference with a 01 added on the end of it.Donedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!)

Seems to me that it's your SO and you can call it what you like. When I was an NRP, my SO was entitled "CSA Death Squad". No-one ever changed that. I can't actually see that anyone has the power to change it (I guess your bank could if it was obscene or libellous but that isn't the case here).Information is not knowledge.

It is funny, I agree.
For the OP, the csa initially send out instructions over what reference to put on the DD/SO form. It could be that they have since changed that and your bank has agreed to accept the change (the reference is important as they need it to move the payment through their accounts to the correct place).0 -
Thanks for the replies. I phoned the bank and they said only the account holder can change the name. I don't really believe them as I know I haven't changed it - I wouldn't, and I know DH hasn't changed it because it would never occur to him and neither of us has any reason to. Anyway, they changed it back for us and told us to keep an eye on it. If it happens again then they'll investigate.Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked
