I would suggest you ask that specific question in the bankruptcy forum, as there are loads of people who have been through the process on there

I am only going to be honest. But I think you need to seriously consider other options before declaring yourself BR. It may all sound easy, but individual cases are different. At this time, when you are out of work can you afford to be BR? I only say that because more and more employers are now running credit checks on people for employment. It's not a pleasant situation to be in that you not only have to try and get work but also have to do that in some cases, and yes plenty of employers are doing this now - so I am NOT just saying it before anyone starts yet again - so I think you need to think seriously about becoming bankrupt and, maybe, explore what other options are available before that is necessary.I'm now absolutely broke and considering going down the BR route.......
BR is and never should be considered an easy option to clear your debts. Especially if it's not much debt. I wouldn't, for example do it for less than £20000 but that's just me. If it was 100s of thousands then yes, probably. But just something you need to consider if you haven't already exhausted any further options. BR should be ideally kept as an absolute, final resort.Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.
