Hello, I bought a TV from Tesco recently which I am happy with, but I went into Tesco today, seven days after I bought the TV to find the same TV for £50 less than I paid  . Is there any chance I can get the difference back?
Many thanks. K.

As long as you're happy that you'd offer them a cheque if the price had gone up by £50.
 Get over it, move on.0

no - but you could buy it again at the new price and take it back with the old receipt - Ive done that with clothes don't know about TV'si'm living in a parallel universe0

I can't believe how many times this question is asked. As Biggles says, would you be happy to give them the extra money if they increased the price by £50 a few days later?
If you have used the TV, which I imagine you have as you say you are happy with it, then change of mind once used is no reason for return. It's just bad timing that you bought it last week not this week. If you've got a fault with it, which I imagine you haven't as you say you are happy with it, then you have to ring them up (special number on the receipt IIRC) and they give you a reference number to quote when you go back.0

Did you pay with a credit card?
Some cards do offer you the difference back if its within a certain time.
 Worth a go.
The money is better in your pocket than theirs! That mrs macchicken to you!0

I think no is the answer, why should you get anything back, its the luck of the draw when you buy something that the price of item wont go down within 5 days,0

When you walk into a store and see an item for sale, then that is an 'invitation to sell' those goods, as seen, at the stated price.
Once you pay for those goods, you are essentially entering into a contract to buy those goods, as advertised. You have agreed their price, and bought the goods.
Therefore, unless there is something wrong with the goods, there is usally little recourse (in law) to change your mind and take the goods back simply because the price changes (up or down).
Indeed, when stores allow you to take goods back for a refund, it is in addition to your statutory rights, and where the price has dropped, they could even offer to refund just the reduced price, rather than the original price. Likewise, if the price goes up, they can decide to just refund the original price (unless items are faulty).0
