try Lidl, netto and ALDi. Go for value at Tesco. Do you have an open market for vegetables?
And learn to love lentils and beans.
Explore the Money Saving Old Style forum on here and learn to menu plan.
Check your paperwork in the car. You may be able to return it without penalty if push come to shove. You need to know the situation. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

How much of the £300 is bills and who is responsible for organising this? Have you tried to switch energy company, or looked at cheaper phone/ internet suppliers? For comparison between two of us we spend
£34 a month on electricity
£20 a quarter on water
£12 a month TV licence
no landline or TV package
£15 a month mobile broadband
£80 a month council tax.
Asda is massively cheaper than Tesco - check out mysupermarket.co.uk. Cheaper still are Aldi and Lidl but less choice (can be good as you buy less!).
We also buy quite a lot of our snacks in pound shops and Home Bargains. Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
I also use https://www.mysupermarket.com and find Tesco cheaper than Asda
It's not necessarily about where you shop but what you buy. As I said, I shop for a family of 3 on less than you do. I find meal planning is the key. Do you have a freezer you can keep bits in?
I agree with Fire Fox about pound shops etc. I often buy a multipack of crisps or wagon wheels etc in there for lunches at work as it's cheaper.
