Cemap Help Please

Today i sat my Cemap 1 exam and ended up failing by one mark. so i resorted back to the IFS learning material to find the figures in my hand book are out of date. As i am new to the financial industry i have sourced information from govenment websites etc to obtain my knowledge. My exam analysis shows i was marked down on my stamp duty tax unit. The IFS exam still uses the old stamp duty figures that should have been updated september 2008. I recieved my IFS handbook December 2008 so why wernt my figures updated???? I feel let down by the IFS and get very much the impression that it is set up as a way of making money for themselves. Surely if they were trying to educate people in this industry they should provide me with the right information. Anyway im applying to get my marks adjusted.....which will cost £75. Anyone else have any problems like this and what other advice do you have please?

Hi, if you try posting this on the mortgages board you may get more response there as there are a number of CeMap qualified people who post there.

i sat my cemap a few years ago now, but at the time as I understood it the information in the IFS workbooks should be treated as up to date (even if it wasnt!) any updates that affect your testing would be available as a download avail to print off. When I sat mine it was 3 wks or so after the budget, but the older, incorrect figures were the ones used in the exam.
