I had this email today:

That's very interesting. It marks something of a philosophical shift for Richer Sounds who used to be (a few years ago, at any rate) a bit 'anti' when it came to online retailing.

I rather like Richer Sounds so I am a little worried at this news. On the other hand if RS could carry over their excellent customer service to Empire Direct then perhaps it's a good thing.

sorry where do you find the clearance outlets are? Do i have to be a vip club member to check?

I received this email too. I brought quite a lot from Empire Direct, washing machine, dishwasher etc and I thought their staff were very knowledgeable and efficient. I believe that Empire Direct were also used when you had to replace something under warrenty so I am sorry that they have gone. I dont particularly like other companies mailshotting me like this TBH.

I've used Richer Sounds in Bristol and always found them to be very helpful. They will listen to you and not just recommend the most expensive item. Hope they don't lose their focus.
