Business Startup Grants

Hi,
I'm looking at starting up a new business. I'm 23, & employed but things are a bit rocky at work & I think I can make a go of it alone.
Having some extra startup capital will help naturally, therefore I was wondering if anyone knows of any grants that I might be able to tap into?

Get in touch with The Prince's Trust.0

The Prince's Trust are good for someone of your age but also worthwhile contacting Bussinesslink who may have knowledge of any regional funding available.0

Due to your age The Prince's Trust is your best bet. Funding is very thin on the ground at the mo, I know that my local businesslink contacted me and said that funding might be available in April but I have managed to get started on a shoestring (I sometimes live on beans on toast just to free up some money for stationery etc).0

Thanks all,
I'll approach the Princes Trust & see what they offer, but from their website they only seem to be offering things to people without jobs, or on less than 16 hours a week. It also seems that if you've been caught breaking the law at some point in your past it helps too!
I'll get in touch with my local businesslink too.
I've been looking for a while but not had any look. Everyone seems only to want to help you if your on benefits! You would think that the best people to fund would be people that are actually working hard, & know their industry, compared to people that are on the dole & have an idea, without necessarily any market nous. Of course thats not strictly true as there are certainly a lot of people on the dole at the moment that are by no means fr**load**s, & are there purely because of the current economic state (I may be joining them soon), but I need somewhere to have a little whine!
Thanks again for the tips0
