Hp Paye

The following line is in a job ad ive seen, " This role is to start the first week or March and will pay £6.50 an hour + HP PAYE or £8.00 an hour ltd / umbrella "

but im not sure what HP PAYE means, anyone got any ideas:confused:, i know umbrella means you have to deal with your own tax and nat insurance etc, basically you have to become self employed

Comments

  • HP PAYE suggests to me an Hourly Paid employee paid by PAYE whereas £8.00 per hour will be paid if the person sets themselves up as a Ltd company and invoices them.

HP may be Holiday Pay which would be available to someone working as an employee (PAYE).
  • Hi Littlevoice,

I feel a right idiot now - of course it means £6.50 an hour plus holiday pay if an employee of the company or £8.00 an hour if they set themselves up as a ltd company and are self-employed.

Sorry DCFC79 - I should have left it to those in the know to answer.
