Amazon returns policy help

Options
Can anybody tell me if Amazon offer free returns?

I have looked through their site and I can't seem to find anywhere that says if return postage is free or not!

Thanks, in advance,

Felicity

If it is just you changing your mind, then they will not offer free returns?

If it is their error, the free returns will be allowed; - "We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.)."

Several months ago I ordered a pan which, although not faulty, I decided to return. From what I remember they sent a carrier to collect the parcel and no postage charges were deducted.

Not sure whether Amazon returns policy has changed since then.

I had to return something and the value was over £100 so I had to do this via special delivery, it costed me just under £6 and I was told I would get a refund, but in the end I had to ask them via email for a refund, which they did so via my amazon account- personally I don't mind that- it now exists as vouchers, and Amazon from what I have seen and heard are top for customer service, they may well have sent it via cheque if I had sent an email saying I was not happy it existed as a voucher.

Amazon were really great for me-infact when I sent an email saying I thought my item was faulty, the next day, they sent me an email back saying a new one had been mailed out to me that morning! and just to send mine back!

This was an 8 month old MP3 player I was replacing! Was amazed at how quick it arrived and how patient they were with me- they gave me 30 days to return which is good if you are not near to an open/efficient post office.
