Morphy Richards 42270 Steam Generator Iron

I went out today looking to buy a steam generator iron, but not wanting to pay more than £100. I was in Argos looking at them and a woman mentioned to me that they had the above ones in the Cash Generator Store opposite to the Argos where I was in Birkenhead shopping Precinct. At first I wasn't going to look as CG is a shop I have hitherto never been in - I thought they only sold second hand stuff, but I went over and was actually quite surprised to see that they had a section which sold brand new stuff. I came away with a brand new, guaranteed for one year MR 42270 steam generator for £49.99, which I had been considering in Argos for £89.99. I felt like I had got a bargain but as I have never bought from there before I am wondering.... Anyone know anything about them? They had LCD tellies there too which were alot cheaper than I have seen elsewhere.

this is a great iron but it will always be costing you as the replacement cartidges can only be purchased from morphy richards direct, i think they are now £5 for 5 replacement sacks + P&P. i live in a hard water area and i used 2 in a month. luckly i took out a extended guarantee and the steam button broke and power house no longer stock this iron i choose a tefal for £129.00, it's a great iron with NO HIDDEN EXTRAS.
