Sky system repair (Belfast)

I'm posting this on behalf my father so bear with me if the details don't sound quite right.
He is based in Belfast and uses Sky satellite and box for his television viewing - he is not a subscriber to Sky and just views the free to air channels.
Would anyone be able to recommend a local, independent repair servicer for a call-out to his home as he is not longer able to get any signal?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Depends what area he's in, but you could try Blackwood Aerials at the Four Winds for a start.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0

Cheers, I know for definite he's done the first two ideas as I talked him through it, my worry with the third is if he genuinely doesn't have a satellite signal then he'll not be able to download the update.0 -
May be worth taking a spare sky box around to his house and plugging it in to see if the problem is his box or his dish.
I had the dreaded no signal received message, plugged in another box and it worked fine, so the problem was my box;) had a subscription at the time so phoned sky for a new box, which I got for free after some haggling;)
With more and more people getting Sky+ there are plenty of older sky boxes floating about for sale for £30 or £40 quid, or maybe a relative would have one for nowt.

only if the problem is the box of courseI am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
I have a feeling that SKY recently did a software download over the air which caused lots of boxes to have problems. Not 100% sure but as the person says above if you have a spare box try that to prove the dish etc is okay.0
