For those with investment on thier mind, I own some flats in Germany, which I am thinking of selling. The yield is 14% or 31400 euros pa. The price circa 200,000.
A property manager takes care of all the day to day running.
My German business partner (who owns these jointly) lives in London and he would offer to oversee the management, the details of which could be written into a UK law binding contract.
We are thinking of selling as we want to invest in a run down hotel over there - a bit a of a dream thang really.0 -

Hi Conrad I couldn't possibly comment on the investment potential of these flats but in classic dragons den dialect "I'm out".0 -

There is a really good article on QE in todays Independent:
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/comment/jeremy-warner/jeremy-warner-bank-resorts-to-extreme-solutions-possibly-lethal-too-1626071.htmlQuantitative easing (QE) here we come. QE is the fancy term for increasing the money supply, or turning on the presses and printing money. Nothing exactly like it has been tried before on these shores, but something similar has, and on virtually all occasions it has proved disastrous.0 -
Is there a way to invest in it safely without actually handling it?
Oh you want to handle it
