HI
I didnt know where to post this ?
Its my daughters 11th birthday today and she has just opened her 2 presents (2 wii games) and the discs are not in the boxes.
I got them from tesco's early january and apparently we were supposed to take the boxes to the back of the shop after we paid for them to have the discs put in there (nobody told us this ?).
So i have just phoned tescos and they said without a recipt there is nothing that can be done about it. I do not remember if i paid cash or with card ?
I am furious cos i got her the top games and spent nearly £80.
My dauhgter looks like she wants to cry , what a day.

Ain't the first time I've heard of Tesco doing this
My MIL bought a CD for her auntie for christmas and the CD wasn't in it
This case was in one of the plastic CD security boxes they put them in, whats the point in putting them in a security box with no CD in???
Unfortunately I don't know what you can do in this situation, are we expected to keep everything nowadays?Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

I don't know if this might help - last year we bought a portable DVD player from Tesco for Christmas but found when we opened it that it didn't work properly. Of course this was the one item we couldn't find a receipt for and Tesco wouldn't give us our money back without proof of purchase and they wouldn't replace because the model had been discontinued. We did pay by credit card but couldn't pinpoint the day we bought the player. Unfortunately my memory is hazy here but my husband had to tell Tesco the approximate time of day I usually shopped at and then the purchase was found on a till roll and we got our money back.0

I would look at bank statement for proof of purchase..if it is over £80 it shouldnt be that hard to find,,take it to the customer services cos they can check on their ej (electric journal) for a copy of receipt. I used to work in retail (not tesco) and we used to do this alot aswell as more major retailers have the same system. also if they did their mis-matches correctly they should still have them instore (as long as they haven't had a stock-take!)
hope this helpsim tray not davey...pinched my hubbys account!!!
I must stop buying smellies..well until i spot a bargain!
never turn a bargain /freebie down you just never know when you need it0 -
my husband had the same problem but with gamestation, he went in there and the guy said if he took in a statement then they would give him the disc, luckily he found the statement and we got the disc.
I would say try searching through your statements and see if you have it, if you paid by cash though that is another problem esp if you havent got a receipt? Maybe try and figure out what day you brought it and what time you would have been shopping and see if tescos have any record of those games being brought at that time?0 -
The best thing to do is to get a statement. Failing that try using the http://la.bbb.org.0

Do you have a tescos clubcard? If you used it then they can track what you have bought.July Win: Nokia 58000
