Got scammed - estate solicitor not helping
Comments
-
From what I have read so far you claim to have been scammed out of £15k by a man who worked for B&Q before his sad demise. You employ a solicitor to take the case for you who cannot even ascertain the death of this man and appears to have told you nothing about what steps you can take now. You also claim the scammer has £600k from others who remain anonymous, how do you arrive at this figure.
Have you been back to B&Q to see if he is still counting out screws, or even asked other employees if they know what happened to him?
You are unbelievably stupid either to have been conned in this way or think that everyone else is so gullible that they believe this tissue of lies.0 -
The figure of £600K is what the deceased's solicitor was happy to provide to my solicitor who then fed it back to me. This makes sense on his part to back up his position that the estate is insolvent.
Thanks for your "kind" words which I take as a personal jibe. If you have nothing positive to offer why don't you just say nothing. Let me guess, you are one of those perfect people who is worth loads of money and never makes any mistakes. Wow, if only we were all like you hey?deddogblues wrote: »From what I have read so far you claim to have been scammed out of £15k by a man who worked for B&Q before his sad demise. That was a bit harsh the way it was written. You could have been a bit more strategic with your comments. This site was designed to help people whether their mistake was stupid (no offence) or not.Minds are like parachutes - they only function when open.

Oh come on, this is a man who owns his own Ltd. company yet is suckered out of fifteen grand by a bloke wearing an orange apron!0

Who nevertheless has taken the bold step in confessing his mistakes in order to seek help. Hence it should be constructive advice that is offered, not insults. You're perfectly within your right to have an opinion on his past conduct, just leave it out of a thread where he is seeking help and advice.deddogblues wrote: »Oh come on, this is a man who owns his own Ltd. company yet is suckered out of fifteen grand by a bloke wearing an orange apron!"MIND IF I USE YOUR PHONE? I find it hard to believe that he has paid good money for legal assistance but has decided that an open forum will offer him better advice, or that he should need telling to inform the police.
I would assume there are many others who have lost money and the police would already be aware.0 -
Oh give it a break deddogblues.
I have not included EVERY possible detail of all the dialogue between myself and my solicitor, which is simply not relevant but has got you wasting time theorising whether I am concocting some story here.
FACT: It happened. FACT: I was stupid FACT: I have wasted enough money: FACT: there may be people on this forum, obviously other than yourself, who could, and HAVE provided me with great suggestions and advice.
As you dont know 99% of the details, your comments thus far are borne out of ignorance. If you are happy to waste your time then please continue.
For everyone else who has been helpful, it is very much appreciated.deddogblues wrote: »I find it hard to believe that he has paid good money for legal assistance but has decided that an open forum will offer him better advice, or that he should need telling to inform the police.

If you've only managed to give 1% of the 'details' I'm not sure how valid any info/advice/suggestion/help offered could be or how MSE members could be anything less than ignorant about this..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
