can anyone please help me, got to sort this out by friday and i am at my wits end on what to do, can't find the info on here and dont really know where to start to get myself & family out of this mess i have caused.
i opened an account with Barclays stockbrokers, they gave me a credit limit of £7500, foolishly i took a chance and used it to try and get myself out of the crap with finances by buying some share that were ahem, assured to increase within a day or so, only for me to watch them crash by 50%, had 3 days in which to pay the money back of which i didnt have to pay back, it has been over a month now and despite numorous phone calls to ask them if i can pay this back over a course of time, they have insisted that this must be paid back in full, i then received a leeter on monday telling me that despite numorous efforts for them to get in contact with me, they were now passing this over to a collection agency, i called the collection agency on tuesday morning to sort this out and make an offer of payment, and was told by the caller that it wasnt a normal dept that could be done in installments, i have to pay in full or they can file to the courts for a ccj, debit collectors can come to my house and collect goods to the value of outstanding bill plus solicitors fees and court fees, that could amount to double what i already owe, if my goods dont cover this, they can file for bankrupsy and claim my house, please help if you have any suggestions.

Contact your nearest Citizens Advice Bureau. You sound as if you could do with some sound advice from them on how to handle your finances. They may be able to negotiate some kind of deal with them. I think trying to borrow money from any other commercial source to pay off this debt will only project you into deeper financial difficulties.0
