Has anyone used this yet? I am thinking of taking the kids there tomorrow. But does anyone know what size the pizza is you get with it? They don't tell you.

Just rang them and apparently it's a 9". Although I did have to ask her about 4 times what "size" it is. The first answer was "it's an individual one", yes but what size is that? "It's an individual", next answer was "it's an italian base". When I asked her what size IN INCHES, then she understood and went away and asked. Grrr!

  • It is the pizza you would normally consider or order as small. Enjoy it as it is a good bargain. No drink refills though

i wasnt impressed by this offer when we went to pizza hut about 3 weeks ago. pizzas are small and you are limited to the choice of toppings and only have 2 toppings at that. Pasta is a thin layer on the bottom of a big dish. 5 of us went and i think we were better off going for a deal instead. If you have small children you might be ok but certainly not the eating machine teenagers i have
  • When I first saw the Happy Hour offer £4 for one, or £7.50 for two I thought it was fantastic value. That is until I actually visited Pizza Hut this week…

A friend and I headed to Pizza Hut in Fountainbridge in Edinburgh for a wee pizza and movie night out. We got to the Hut at about 5pm and there was a bit of a queue. After 25 minutes we got a table and as soon as we sat down, we were informed the Happy Hour Offer was no longer running...

When asked why, the server replied that they had been very busy and were going to run out of food if they continued till 6pm!

We were a bit shocked, having stood for 25 minutes without even a hint of a problem. Then when we asked what other offers were in place to replace the Happy Hour, the chap simply replied ‘none.’

There is no way Pizza Hut were running out of food. clearly the offer had been very popular and they had decided to scrap it in order to try and sell is over-priced pizza instead.

After a brief discussion, we got up and left and as we informed the rest of the queue they pretty much all left as well.

I have since written an email to to Pizza Hut to complain and will let you know how I get on!
  • Quite right too, I'd be very angry if they hadn't even mentioned the offer wasn't running any more and I'd been waiting all that time in the queue. They are running loads of ads on tv promoting it so they are bound to have increased volume of sales so should be prepared for it. We went past a couple of Pizza Huts on Saturday and there were people queued along the street waiting to get in. Be very interesting to see what their head office say!

Did you ever get a reply from Pizza Hut head office?
  • We ate there over the summer holiday (2 adults and 2 kids) and really enjoyed the food (though never found the service there very good!). Get a 'small' size pizza which was more than enough for me, my mum had the chicken caesar salad which was also really good and quite a large portion. Not a huge choice but IMO very good value. HTH.

    the deal is
    1 glass of drink

1 9" italian ( think base) pizze with a choice of the following topings
    margherita
    ham and seetcorn
    chicken and red onion
    pepperoni and ( jalapenos)
    mixed peppers and mushrooms

    OR PASTA
    four cheese and vegetable or
    bolognese

    OR SALAD

    crispy chicken house salad
    italian cheese style house salad

    EITHER
    garlic bread or wedges

then you can choose to add
    A MINI CHEESCAKE FOR £1

i think is pretty good value considering that anindividual margherita pizza is £4-99 on its own!!!!

so when you add it up
    £4.99 for a basic margherita
£1.99 for a glass of pepsi
£1 for garlic bread / £1.50 for wedges
    cheescake would be £1.50

i dont think theres that many restaurants that you could go and eat for that price 3 course for £5???? unless you are using vouchers

its available from monday to friday 2-6pm HTH
    relynutz says it all :o

I have been and also came away feeling rather fleeced.

Pepsi glass filled to the brim with ice, drinking it made my teeth hurt ( I did say no ice, but alas )

Counted 5 sliced of mushroom and 7 strips ( thin) of pepper on my pizza. Also serious lack oif cheese, barely visible.

One slice of garlic bread that is the grillable versions you can get int sainsburys etc usually 10 slices for a pound, wonder what they pay for it in pizza hut. ;)

Not impressed and not going back.

Will try another voucher deal next time or go toby carvery , the only positive why I chose this was free parking.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
