Direct Line Insurance

Does anybody know if Direct Line are ok with myself being BR, I have house, pet and car insurance with them. Initially only myself is going BR. House, Pet insurance are in joint name, car in my name with wife as named driver.

I have no idea.

Have you still got your policy documents and T&Cs? If not, they are bound to have them online in pdf format. Try searching them for bankrupt/cy and insolvent/cy.

If all else fails then you need to call them as I feel its best to upset the apple cart so to speak over insurance. You need to know asap so you change insurers if necessary (worst case scenario) rather than them refuse a potential payout because of it.

Thanks, due to goto BR 3rd March and house insurance due 24th March, so need to double check

Double check. I use Co-Operative for mine (and currently £50 cashback via Quidco!). I did call them prior to taking it out and they were adamant that being BR was not an issue. Its not mentioned in their "assumptions" or T&Cs either.

i called several insurance companies regarding this and all said they would cancel policy when i went br, that is except for co op who i now have home and contents insurance with, (if you go through quidco i got £105 cashback:T ) hope that helps
